Wandering Glider – Male Dragonfly (Pantala flavescens)

This Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens) is a Male Dragonfly with beautiful Brick Red pattern on the Yellow tail. Female is very similar with the Brick Red colour missing.

This one was in my Kitchen. I was drawn towards it due to the familiar Chitter-Chatter noise of the wings.

Crimson Marsh Glider - Female Dragonfly (Trithemis aurora)

This Crimson Marsh Glider (Trithemis aurora) is a Female Dragonfly with transparent Wings and Pale Amber patches on the base of the wings.

Male Crimson Marsh Glider is more beautiful due to vivid colours such as Crimson, Red, Purple and Amber patch on the wings.

Ruddy Marsh Skimmer (Crocothemis Servilia) is a very Beautiful Blood Red coloured Dragonfly. This one is Male. Female is Pale Yellow in colour.

Common Picture Wing is a Dragonfly species, also known as Variable Glider. It almost looks like a butterfly during flight. The flight is weak and slow. Beautiful wing colours and patterns. This one is Female.

Pied Paddy Skimmer (Neurothemis tullia) is a dragonfly species. The colours and patterns are beautiful, especially on the wings, although they vary significantly in males and females. Their flight is not as strong or fast like other dragonflies. This one is from Kerala.
